General musings about life here and now, often about theatre, or birds, or a metaphorical elephant, or stuff of life.

May 2
A mi abuela, feliz cumpleaños, donde quiera que estés. She would have been 111 today. (And near the end of her life here, she spoke only in spanish.) She was an interesting woman, but not the kind of grandmother that you bake cookies with or have read stories to you. We are who we are. (She was, however, a fabulous cook.)
I am a naturalist, curious by nature. My interests range from the natural world to travel to food, art, music, religion, and culture to name a few. I am currently studying theatre and languages in hopes of performing and/or directing and of being multi-lingual. I have 4 blogs, the first on traveling in Spain, the second on the natural world, but predominately about birds, the third is about life in general, and the fourth is about reading Charles Dickens. My blogging has been more sporadic than I would like. I write to practice writing. And I am inspired to write better when I've been reading Dickens.
